Dishin legal
Terms and Conditions
Last updated:
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Dishin's website, mobile apps, and related services. By creating an account or using Dishin, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Who may use Dishin
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dishin. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to approve your use, you confirm that you have that approval. You may use Dishin only if applicable law allows you to do so.
2. Your account
Dishin uses supported sign-in providers, including Google and Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in account secure and for activity under your Dishin account. Keep your profile information accurate and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
3. The Dishin service
Dishin helps you create, import, organize, cook, and share recipes. You can build cookbooks, save recipes, follow other cooks, and take part in social features such as posts and comments. Recipes and cookbooks can be private or public. Public content and profile information can be viewed and shared by other people, including people without a Dishin account.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features. We will try to give notice when a change materially affects your use, but we cannot promise that every feature will always be available or error-free.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of recipes, photos, comments, posts, profile details, and other content you submit. You grant Dishin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where copies must remain for legal, security, backup, or service-integrity reasons.
You control whether supported recipes and cookbooks are private or public. If you make content public or share it with cookbook collaborators, other people may view, save, copy, or reshare it. Dishin cannot control copies made outside the service.
You must have the rights needed to submit your content and let Dishin use it as described here. Do not upload confidential information or content that violates another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
5. Recipe imports and third-party sources
Dishin can create recipe drafts from links and uploaded images. Imports may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence and transcription services. These systems can miss details or make mistakes. Review every imported recipe before relying on it, and keep the original source when attribution or permission is required.
You are responsible for following the terms of any website or platform you import from. Dishin does not own third-party recipes, websites, or services, and links to them do not mean that Dishin endorses them.
6. Food and health safety
Dishin provides recipe organization and sharing tools, not medical, nutrition, allergy, or food-safety advice. Recipes may contain errors, allergens, unsafe substitutions, or incomplete cooking instructions. Check ingredients, allergies, dietary needs, temperatures, storage guidance, and preparation methods yourself. When health or safety matters, consult a qualified professional or an authoritative food-safety source.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Dishin to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or deceive anyone;
- post unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or dangerous content;
- send spam or manipulate follows, saves, likes, comments, or reports;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls; or
- scrape or use Dishin content or accounts in a way that violates law, these Terms, or people's privacy.
We may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts to enforce these Terms and protect Dishin and its users.
8. Dishin's rights
Dishin and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and other materials we provide. These Terms do not give you a right to use our trademarks or copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease the service except as applicable law permits.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Dishin at any time. You may ask us to close your account by emailing support@dishin.app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or threaten the service or other users. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to address the issue.
10. Disclaimers
Dishin is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law permits, Dishin disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some places do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Dishin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the service. Dishin's total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Dishin in the 12 months before the claim. The law in your location may give you rights that cannot be limited by these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Dishin changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use Dishin after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
